Year 2022 in Review

As 2022 comes to an end, I would like to thank all of you for your participation and support. I also would like to wish you a healthy and happy 2023.Below is a summary of all our 2022 programs and events:· 

Jan 26, 2022 - "AAEN Silver Career Management Webinar #3 - Employee Rights" - Virtual This webinar is acontinuation of the "Silver Career Management" started in 2021 to advocate for Asian American professionals and executive entering later stage of their career. This webinar dealt with employee rights. Oversold with 69 registered.· 

Feb 16, 2022 - "AAEN Virtual Business Networking" - Virtual This webinar brought Asian American small businesses across the nation together to share challenges and ideas for starting and expanding their businesses. . 45 registered.· 

March 16, 2022 - Silver Career Management - Webinar #4 - "Career Transition" - virtual This webinar brought together 3 experienced Asian American Executives to share their career path in multiple sectors and industries and how that managed and exceled in career transition. Oversold with 74 registered.· 

May 1, 2022 - "2022 APAHM Chicago Community Kick-off" - live event at Urban Convene, Chicago IL - Oversold with 107 registered, this is the first live kickoff in 3 years. Once again, it is a collaboration with OCA-Greater Chicago and the Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC).

August 10, 2022 - Silver Career Management #5 - "Private Equity" & "Venture Capital" - Virtual This webinar brought together experts in private equity managers and venture capitalists to share the industry and how one can get into this sector and excel in it as a career option. Both domestic and international capital investment fund management were covered. 53 registered.

Dec 7, 2022 - AAEN Annual Holiday Celebration and Networking - Live in Rosemont IL and Virtual via zoom. This was our first attempt at having a hybrid platform. It was truly a global networking event since our zoom host was calling in from Shanghai China. Asian American Coalition of Chicago (AACC) served as our co-host. 78 registered live and 32 virtually.Since 2010, AAEN conducted 72 events with 6500+ tickets sold. Thanks again to all the volunteers, community sponsors, and participants for making them possible.We look forward to more collaboration with you in 2023. We welcome more volunteers to help us build programs that are meaningful and impactful to you and the community. We also welcome collaboration from other Asian American advocacy organizations.Together, we can build a better community!

Year 2021 in Review

Networking for helping others & the community... Asian American Executive Network brings AAPI professionals, executives and advocates together to support each other and the community.
In 2020, AAEN collaborated with many organizations tp deliver a series of Asian American Business Advocacy webinar designed to help Asian American Businesses during the Pandemic.
2021 has been another breakthrough year for the Asian American Executive Network, going National, Global and Beyond. We dealt with both issues facing Asian American students and recent graduates in the tough market in the first half of the year. We also started the "Silver Career Management Program" designed to help Asian American professionals and executives as they enter the later stage of their career.
Below is the highlights of our 2021 programs:
• April 7 & 8, 2021 - First-ever community initiated Virtual Job & Career Fair. In collaboration with IIT, UIC and Eastern Oregon University Career Services, the job fair brought 350 plus job seekers together with over 100 plus employers globally. Special thanks go to 12 community sponsors and 65 volunteers who made this possible.
• May 1, 2021 - AAEN collaborated with the Asian American Coalition of Chicago, OCA-Chicago, and IIT Alumni Association to kick off the 2021 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. 150 Asian Americans with many from across the nation also joined in the fun via the online platform.
• September 15, 2021 - AAEN kicked off the first webinar for the new "Silver Career Management" program designed to support AAPI Professionals and Executives in later stages of their career. Sold out at 64 with participants from 30 cities and 15 states.
• November 10, 2021 - Second AAEN webinar for "Silver Career Management program". It was also sold out at 64 with participants from 35 cities and 15 states - 20 repeated from webinar #1.
• November 18, 2021 - Chicago United - Business Leaders of Color. Every two years, The AAEN recommends Asian American Leaders for this award. Happy to report that 4 of our recommendations received such prestigious award and all the benefits that came with it. Congratulations to all.
• December 16, 2021 - AAEN Annual Holiday Celebration and Networking. 200 registered from 50 cities, 25 states and 4 countries including China, UK, Canada, and USA. AAEN has gone Global!
These impactful programs were truly exceptional and especially impressive for an informal networking group powered by only volunteers and without corporate sponsorship. Thanks again to all the volunteers, community sponsors, and participants for making them possible.
